Can anyone tryout for Rotary Select Teams?
Players must have at least one year of HS eligibility remaining. Players that did not participate on their respective HS team, will not be considered for a Rotary Select team.
How many teams will Rotary form?
Rotary Select will field one 9th Grade/15U team, 10th Grade/16U team, 11th Grade/17U team and one 17U EYBL Elite Team (teams usually consist of a 10 player roster). We will field secondary teams for these age groups if we obtain enough talent in the tryout to build a quality team.
Do players need to be present for all tryout dates?
While it may be helpful, showing up to every tryout event is NOT mandatory.
When and where will the tryout results be posted?
Tryout results will be not be posted. We will contact you directly if you have been selected.
How much does it cost to play for a Rotary HS team?
The cost for participating on a Rotary Select team is as follows:
- 17U EYBL = $500
- 17U SELECT Team = $1200
- 15U & 16U EYBL = $1800
- 15U & 16U SELECT = $1800
How often do the teams practice and play?
Our teams usually practice twice weekly for 1.5-2hrs per practice. We do hold a few practices over weekends. Our event schedule will be distributed at the parent meeting, following the tryout.
Where do the teams practice?
We usually practice at Central Seattle Gymnasiums. Tuesdays and Thursday 7:30pm till 9:30pm are our usual weekday practice days/times. Weekend practices days/times vary.
When are Style Tryouts for the 2023-2024 Season?
Style tryouts for 3rd thru 8th Grade Boys will be held October 7 & 8, 2023 at Rainier Vista BGC.
How many teams will be formed?
We will field one team in each grade level 3rd thru 8th (teams usually consist of a 9-10 player roster). We will field secondary teams for these age groups if we solicit enough talent at the tryout to build a quality team and if we have an adequate coach to lead the group.
When and where will the tryout results be posted?
Tryout results will be not be posted. We will contact those that are selected.
How much does it cost to play for a Style team?
The cost for participating on a Style team is $1200 – $1500 per player (dependent upon which team your child is assigned to). This does not include travel costs.

Can my son play for Style and for another “Select” Team/Program?
Style players are allowed to play for a HS feeder team and/or their respective MS team during the customary basketball season (Dec – Mar). Style players are not allowed to participate on other “Select/Travel” team during the Style season. Failure to adhere to this rule is cause for immediate removal from the Style program.
